Everything was very good, very good service, stunning location just off the train station, central Amsterdam and Damrak. Neat room with enormous windows and bath and shower, the staff was hospitable, whenever I needed help.

Well located near the station. Beautiful art deco building, which in itself makes the stay for architecture lovers pleasant. Good wellness with small swimming pool, 3 saunas, steam bath and jacuzzi, open till late. beautiful, spacious room with good bathroom. Including use of the minibar.
Slow reaction to comments. Our TV didn't work. Despite at least 2 comments at the reception it was not repaired (we stayed 3 nights,...).Poor reception on arrival by the inexperienced staff, who just pushed our cards in our hand, gave no explanation and also sent us to the wrong elevator,...This is not possible for a five star hotel!

Nice staff. Fine wellness with constant supply of towels. Every guest gets a bathrobe. Beautiful spacious rooms.
In the afternoon we switched off the heating but it stayed very warm.

No 5 star comfort! No storage possibilities in the bathroom. Television is outdated. Occasional unpleasant odours in the bathroom. Dark, winding corridors. Very small reception, very small hotel lobby with few places to sit. Overall, the standard does not correspond to a 5 star Grand Hotel. But very friendly and courteous staff.
